From PC Mag: Apple is refreshing the 14-inch MacBook Pro with its new M5 chip, which promises to further enhance graphics and AI workload performance.
The updated MacBook is for students, business users, and designers looking for a powerful but sleek laptop, or those who want to upgrade from an older M1 or Intel-based Mac.
The main selling point is the new M5 chip, which has been designed to deliver "up to 3.5x in the AI performance and up to 1.6x faster graphics than the previous generation,” including for games and professional apps, according to Cupertino.
"M5 also includes a faster and more efficient CPU, an enhanced Neural Engine, and higher memory bandwidth that accelerates everything from launching apps to running large language models (LLMs) on device," Apple says.
