From PC Mag: If you've got an iPhone 17 and have been waiting to try Adobe's Project Indigo app for photography, there's good news. After long delays over hardware compatibility issues, Adobe has found a workaround to offer partial support.
As The Verge reports, Project Indigo now works with iPhone 17's rear cameras. The delay so far was caused by the issues with the latest phones' squarish front-camera sensors. While a fix for that is on the way, Adobe will disable the app for the front camera and make it work with the rear sensors, the report adds.
Project Indigo rolled out in June and uses computational photography to offer SLR-like results for iPhone users. For photography nerds, the app offers more manual control over focus, exposure, ISO, shutter speed, and more.
While the app was initially announced to be compatible with iPhone 12 Pro and newer, it ran into issues with the iPhone 17 models. Launched last month, the phones come with a big change to the front cameras due to the camera sensor.
