From PC Mag: Meta is taking yet another step to ensure its smart glasses blend seamlessly into daily life. The company has launched Meta Glasses, a new line of AI wearables that build on the features of the Ray-Ban Metas and add “bold and timeless shapes, rich colors, and premium materials.”
As with the Ray-Ban Meta glasses, the new range was created in partnership with EssilorLuxottica. The two companies signed a 10-year deal to create smart glasses in 2024, but this new lineup does not feature the company's branding like the Ray-Ban or Oakley specs.
Visual appeal appears to be the key selling point of the new range. The Meta Glasses will be available in three different shapes, eight frame colors, and four lens options, offering 26 unique combinations within the lineup.
The Meta Adventurer comes in a rectangular shape, the Meta Fury takes a more Ray-Ban-like square shape, while a special-edition Meta Glasses by Kylie comes in a slim, oval frame designed in collaboration with Kylie Jenner. (In the battle of model-influencers, Snap just announced AR glasses with Kaia Gerber as one of its spokespeople.)
