From PC Mag: Your YouTube Premium subscription is about to become a lot more valuable. Starting next year, Peacock’s ad-supported live sports events, movies, and hit shows will be available directly in the YouTube app at no extra cost.
YouTube and NBCUniversal announced the partnership on Wednesday. For those subscribing to both platforms, the proposed bundle cuts streaming costs by $10.99 per month, which is the current cost of the ad-supported Peacock Premium plan. The standalone YouTube Premium subscription, meanwhile, starts at $15.99 per month.
“Together, we’re giving viewers more of the content they love in one place, including the creators, artists and communities that make YouTube unique alongside Peacock’s live sports, hit movies and popular shows,” said YouTube CEO Neal Mohan on X. He added that the perk will begin rolling out in early 2027.
YouTube will also introduce bundles and options to let its Premium subscribers “upgrade their Peacock membership and choose the best plan for them,” according to a blog post.
