Lately, one of my friends has been getting into bouldering. With that, I have come out of hiatus and began my adventure once again. There is something refreshing about starting anew from the very basis. It is important to note I was never actually "good", more so "adequate", when it comes to bouldering. Generally speaking, I knew how it worked, but I did not know how to do it. Back to my friend, I found myself trying to teach them more fundamentals, while relearning them myself in the process. These fundamentals go back towards understanding routes and utilizing footwork to better aid yourself up the wall. This process has also reawakened the part of me that giggles when someone asks how to do something, and I tell them to just go up. In this time, it is interesting to see someone go through the beginning steps I had once taken and it really is refreshing, just like how it is refreshing to go back to the fundamentals of keyboards with a good old full-sized keyboard. Today, we have a collaboration between Epomaker and AULA with the F108, a full-sized mechanical keyboard that offers wireless connectivity. Will the Epomaker x AULA F108 bring me back to the good old days of when I used a full-sized keyboard? Keep reading to find out!
Our review unit of the Epomaker x AULA F108 came alongside the Epomaker x AULA F65 Pro in a tightly wrapped in plastic that covered many layers of bubble wrap underneath. The box was shipped to us here in Calgary, Alberta from Shenzhen, China via UniUni. The shipping process was fine, with some marks on the edges of the retail box. I was not worried about the condition of the product itself, as there was no noticeable damage.
The Epomaker x AULA F108’s box design is aesthetically pleasing, using a black, white, and a teal exterior. The front displays a photo of the keyboard on the right side of the box. On the left is the name "F108" alongside a brief explanation of the keyboard itself below it, and above it, we have the Epomaker and AULA branding. The back contains some features of the keyboard. The front and back edges of the box display more branding. This is a straightforward design that offers very minimal information. Personally, I do not mind this, as I appreciate the lack of clutter and simplicity.
