Sony Could Be Improving Sound and Features on Its Next Earbuds

From CNET: Sony's WF-1000XM6 earbuds are arriving imminently, according to image leaks from online retailers. And we now have a better idea of the tech that'll be packed into these active noise-cancellation earbuds, thanks to spec leaks from Billbil-kun, who's known for accurate tech scoops.

The WF-1000XM6 earbuds will feature several notable upgrades over their predecessor, the WF-1000XM5 earbuds, which were released in 2023. Sony will enhance the entire active noise-cancelling system by adding a QN3e processor, which, according to the report, will be three times faster than its predecessor. Other internal design overhauls include a new speaker, a digital-to-analog converter and an amplifier.
