From PC Mag: Prosecutors in Taiwan have indicted an Nvidia manager, along with eight others, for violating export controls and smuggling cutting-edge AI chips to China.
On Monday, Taiwan's Keelung District Prosecutor's Office announced it had indicted nine people, including a man surnamed Chang, who was a partner manager for Nvidia’s distribution business.
Two other indicted men, surnamed Lin and Wang, formerly worked for Nvidia partner Supermicro, which manufactures servers equipped with Nvidia's enterprise-grade GPUs. The announcement says at least some of the individuals conspired to sell Nvidia’s B300 systems, which use its latest Blackwell architecture, but have been barred from export to China.
