From PC Mag: Apple is expected to unveil its first-ever foldable iPhone today, and a report published just hours before the launch event claims that the device will be called the “iPhone Duo.”
The last-minute scoop comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and contradicts claims by most other leakers that the device would be called the iPhone Ultra. Though surprising in that sense, it isn’t unusual for Apple to use short, three-letter model names. The company already uses Pro, Air, and Neo for its MacBook models, and Air and Pro for its iPhone and iPad models.
Regarding the features of the iPhone Duo, Gurman says it will come with an A20 Pro chip and run apps side by side on the main screen. The device will have two 48 MP rear cameras, a 12 MP front-facing camera for video calls, and support for the Apple Pencil stylus.
While visible thick creases have been a problem on foldable phones, previous rumors have indicated that Apple has developed a product with minimal to no visible creases on the main screen.
