From PC Mag: Apple only lets you spend up to $6,400 on iPhone Duo phones. That’s the price of two top-end Duo foldables with 2TB of storage each, which is the current upper limit for those ordering in the US.
As spotted by MacRumors, those who add more than two iPhone Duo handsets to their cart on the Apple website are prompted to reduce the quantity before purchase. It’s unclear whether the limit was always in place in the US, but social media reports claim some were able to buy more during the initial preorders on Oct. 16.
Apple posted clearer restrictions in other countries, including China and Hong Kong, but it’s not as easy to spot in the US, since it doesn't appear until you try to make a purchase. The notification reads, "A maximum of 2 iPhone Duos can be purchased per customer. Please adjust the total quantity of iPhone Duo in your order before checking out."
Apple has so far struggled to meet demand for the iPhone Duo, with orders made last Friday soon falling into December. If you try to buy on Apple's website now, your order will likely show as arriving at the end of January.
