Sports cars have a look that is instantly recognizable, which can usually be described as wide bodies and low profiles. The wide stance helps keep the car stable at high speed, while the low profile lowers the center of gravity for better cornering. And of course, there is the visual aspect of it. The wide fenders and a squat stance just look fast. You see this all the time with models that come in both "standard" and "sport" trims: The sportier version, even if it is just the appearance package, almost always gets a body kit at the very least. Even if you start with the normal one, you can often add features to capture that aggressive, performance look. In the world of sports cars, being low and wide matters. That brings us to today’s review unit: The SAMA V60 ATX computer case. It is a budget gaming chassis, but it has that same low-and-wide stance, like it is trying to meet the sports car standard for performance. The real question is, does it back up the look with good airflow, thermals, and build quality for the price? Let us read on and find out.

Today’s review unit was shipped from the Amazon fulfillment center in Rocky View County, Alberta, Canada to us here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada via Amazon. Along with this computer case, the SAMA G1000 1000W PSU was sent to us for review, which I have covered a few weeks ago. You can see the two parcels are generally in good shape, therefore there is no need to be nervous about the safety of whatever is inside the box.

Usually, a good retail package design can draw people’s attention and make the product itself stand out among hundreds of other products on the shelf. However, the realm of computer cases is different. Most of the time, the dealer will either directly put sample cases on the shelf or just demonstrate some fully built computers using those chassis. Therefore, it is mostly unnecessary to have a fancy retail packaging for a computer tower. At least for me, I would not buy a computer case just because it looks great on the box. The retail package of SAMA V60 is simply a brown cardboard box. There is a sketch of the case centered on the front, and instead of leaving the background blank, SAMA adds a few geometric triangle accents behind the drawing to give it slightly more styling. Overall, the retail package looks very eco-friendly, and it prompts us to open the package to see what is inside the box.
Before we do anything else, let use quick look at the specifications of the mid-tower from its official website:

The bag is sturdy enough to protect the paint from scratches, and you could even keep it for reuse if you ever need to transport your computer elsewhere. An extra layer of protection is always welcome. The chassis itself is secured by two foam brackets, ensuring there is no direct contact with the shipping box. All of the accessories, including screws, brackets, and zip ties, come neatly packed in an accessory bag inside of the case.
