TikTok Rolls Out New Tools to Help Curb Scrolling Time

From CNET: TikTok announced on Wednesday that it's revamping its screen-time management page with new features designed to help users unwind and recharge while using the app.

"These features build on the existing suite we have to help people customize their experiences on TikTok," a TikTok spokesperson told CNET. "Whether that be to spend more time unwinding, or (viewing) more of the content that appeals to them, each individual's experience online is unique to them and their preferences."

The new Time and Well-Being section features a positive affirmation journal with over 120 downloadable prompts, as well as a sound generator that plays calming sounds and provides breathing exercises.

Users can complete well-being missions to earn badges that support mindful habits, such as staying off of TikTok at night and limiting screen time on a daily or weekly basis.
