I was recently in Vancouver for a League of Legends tournament. Most of my extended family also live there, so I also spent an afternoon with them. I found one of the most difficult things to do was explain to my family why I was there. If you do not know, currently Riot Games is holding Mid-Season Invitational, or MSI, in Vancouver. This tournament includes the best teams across the globe in a set of best-of-five games to show who is the top team. While most of my family could understand this, they still wondered why I had to attend live. For one, it was not like I was playing. As this is an e-sports event, the tournament is already broadcast for free on YouTube and Twitch. If I am honest, I would have had a more comfortable watching experience too if I were watching from home. Part of the reason I wanted to attend was because my friend wanted to go, but also because I had never attended something like this before. These events, while they happen every year, rarely come to North America, and even less often in Canada. The other side of the difficulty was explaining this in Cantonese, so my limited vocabulary was also not helping me. Thankfully, most of them did not ask more once I did explain in my broken Chinese. All in all, it was a memorable weekend -- one that reminded me how hard it can be to convey niche experiences to a wider audience. And speaking of communication challenges, today, we are looking at the SETA A2, which is one of SilverStone's latest mid-tower computer cases that promises a "true high airflow experience". We have seen other SETA cases including its predecessor, the SETA A1. However, what does this one bring? Will I be effective at communicating similarities and differences? Let us read on to find out!
Today's review unit of the SilverStone SETA A2 arrived from SilverStone's offices in Chino, California. Traveling with FedEx and their International Ground service, this plain corrugated cardboard box arrived in good condition with no significant issues to speak of. In addition to the SETA A2, SilverStone also sent us their SETA H2 in a separate box. It is interesting this case came with its own shipping container, as opposed to the H2 that arrived without a second layer of cardboard.
Once you remove the outer box, you can get a better view of the SilverStone SETA A2's retail container. The box is plain looking with black printing around the side panels. There are a few dents and small holes on this side panel. From here, you can see an outline of the SETA A2 inside from a front view along with the product name beside it. Underneath, we have a tagline of "A True High Airflow Experience: Exceptionally Versatile Mid-Tower Chassis". A SilverStone logo is printed on the top left corner of this side. Around the sides, we have a few lists of specifications and other features.
Before we continue, I have grabbed the specifications from the manufacturer's website for your reading pleasure:

Out of the box, the SilverStone SETA A2 is packaged in a transparent plastic bag and sandwiched between two large pieces of foam. These black pieces do not easily break apart, and ensure the case is not affected by the impact even if the box takes impact. It also creates space between the product and the exterior box, which further increases protection. This means any of the dents or holes we saw on the cardboard box did not actually affect the case inside. I do appreciate this is not polystyrene, which often breaks apart in transit. The rest of the accessories are contained within a plastic bag that is attached inside the SETA A2. There is also a small pamphlet that covers the 1-year warranty included with most SilverStone cases. It is a bit short in duration, but this has been the standard for SilverStone for a while.
